A public reception is scheduled next Wednesday, February 28, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the WNCC gallery for "How To Cross The Street," CCAI's CAP [CCAI Art in Public] exhibition.
Featured artists are Elaine Tin Nyo [New York], Jenna Montgomery [Seattle] and Erik Burke [Reno]. CAP writer Kris Vagner [Reno] will contribute an exhibtion essay.
Jenna Montgomery's work in the exhibition includes a collaborative project featuring artworks by twenty-two Carson High School art students.
The Main Gallery is located in the Bristlecone Building at Western Nevada Community College, 2201 W. College Parkway, Carson City.
Admission is free.

Concert begins at 4:00 p.m. in the theater

"As part of the 1st Annual New Films and Filmmakers Series sponsored by the University of Nevada, Reno, Margo Pelletier and Lisa Thomas will show a rough cut of their new documentary, SILVIA, and present a panel discussion with community leaders in the fields of criminal justice, American history, journalism and others. SILVIA is an account of the life of Silvia Baraldini, an internationally renowned political prisoner. Baraldini was unexpectedly released from her prison sentence under a new Italian pardon law in Sept. 2006, making this event even more timely."
