Due to financial difficulties, the gallery will be closing from our space on Cheney Street at the end of May. Grayspace will become a cyber art space till further notice. I would like to thank everyone who has supported Grayspace in every way from their time, donations, artwork, advice, audience, and sharing in the experience of Grayspace. Also a special thank you to the Reno News and Review for all their coverage on events at Grayspace. Thank you!

This has been an amazing year and I look forward to the future of Grayspace. I will keep the community of Reno informed about the next steps for Grayspace via our website, www.grayspacegallery.com, and email.

Last exhibition at Grayspace at 26 Cheney Street!

Cutism

Grayspace is excited to announce a group exhibition with artists Rebekah Bogard, Ahren Hertel, Jason Huff, and Melissa Jones

Creating cute works of art has been viewed as taboo to some in art culture. This "cute" art creates specific emotional reactions, sweet, colorful, playful, yet at times quite disturbing and stereotypical. Generally we all know what cute is when we see it, however the meaning of cute is different for each person.

Cutism will feature four artists who deal with cuteness in their work. Each artist's work initially draws the viewer in with its cuteness, but as one looks more closely, there either is a disturbing, humorous, or surprising aspect to the piece.

This exhibition will be fun and playful for the viewer, but may shock, surprise, and tickle.

Exhibition Dates: May 8–May 29, 2008

Reception: Thursday May 8, 5:30-8:30pm, come meet the artists!

Gallery Hours: To be announced. Please check website for hours

Location: Grayspace is located at 26 Cheney Street"
