Eco-Sophia: The Artist of Life is a group exhibition inspired by German philosopher Wolfgang Schirmacher's 1989 essay of the same name. For generations philosophers and scientists have been separately asking similar questions in their scholarship: how and what is coexistence, where do the boundaries of technology push us, and what is habitation? This exhibition takes Schirmacher's call for wisdom and converges on the necessary yet very complicated and nuanced symbiotic relationship between philosophy, technology, ecology and individual agency.
