Carleton E. Watkins and the Creation of Yosemite National Park

Colin Robertson, Curator of Education, discusses Watkins’ striking 1860s Yosemite photographs—they helped to pave the way for the 1864 Yosemite Land Grant and the future Yosemite National Park—and the tragedies that befell him at the end of his life.

These half-hour dialogues invite guests to experience an informal and intimate introduction to works in the galleries."
