"This two-person exhibit does not have a theme based on content, but rather will concentrate on two different yet complimentary artists, one born in Korea and the other in the Netherlands. As unrelated as their content is, both Versteeg and Hwang show a very contemporary understanding of how interconnection works in our postmodern culture. Versteeg is an artist deeply concerned in the fabricated notion of 'real' time. He works in all forms, including collage, computer programming, video, drawing, sculpture and installation. Hwang is an artist and animator who creates multi-screen animation installations, light projections, sculpture, digital prints and drawings. Her work combines early Korean cartoon imagery resurrected in mountainous landscapes, combing her quirky drawing style with photography and narration."
