Holiday Harmonies Barbershop Quartet

"Don’t miss Holiday Harmonies, an offering of Christmas music presented by the Chorus of Comstock, a four part a cappella barbershop style chorus. This local chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society was deemed “Plateau A Champion” at the spring NE Division Chorus contest. Under direction of B.J. Hill, bass for international quartet competition bronze medal winner “Special Feature”, the chorus will present an array of carols and songs of the season."

Performances by "95 North," "Assisted Living," "Miners," and individual performances by special guests.

Tickets:
Matinee 2pm: $10 and Evening 7pm: $12

Free Pops Concert on the Governor's Lawn

25th Annual Pops Party concert

Sunday June 14
3 pm. Free Admission


"The beautiful back lawn of the Governor's Mansion is the site of the Carson City Symphony's twenty-fifth annual "Pops Party" concert on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. The program features the Carson City Symphony, Carson Chamber Singers, Strings in the Summer Youth Orchestra, and guest soloist CeCe Gable, whose swinging, passionate vocal style captivates music fans throughout northern Nevada. Grounds open and pre-concert entertainment by members of Chorus of the Comstock begins at 3:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Seating is on the lawn; the audience is welcome to bring blankets or lawn chairs (some chairs will be provided) and food. Snacks and beverages and raffle tickets will be on sale before and during the concert to benefit the Carson City Symphony Association's artistic and educational programs.

In case of rain, the concert will be held indoors at the Community Center gym. For information, call Symphony at 775-883-4154 or check the symphony web site.
