"OASIS 2009 Conference: Cultural Leadership -
A call to Action

"The challenges facing our communities today are formidable – it is no longer business as usual. Now is the time for Nevada’s cultural leadership to champion a vision that invests in people and the places they live; and promotes the creative industry’s essential role for our state.

OASIS 2009 will focus on issues that address today’s economic realities as well as topics that are consistently relevant for arts administrators, artists and trustees/board members. From fundraising, advocacy and branding to creative markets, artnerships, and surviving and even thriving during a crisis, the presentations will be of value. After lunch at the National Automobile Museum, a panel of visionary speakers will challenge Nevada’s cultural community to provide the leadership necessary to transform today’s crisis into tomorrow’s catalyst for change.
