Jackpot Grants
Postmark Deadline: Nov. 16
[for projects Jan 1-March 31, 2010]

Quarterly grants of up to $1,000 for artists to support new and/or exemplary arts projects. Jackpots are also designed to support activities that help artists further their careers. Artist must have attained a certain level of proficiency as represented in the quality of works samples submitted with application.

Eligible applicants must currently:
· be a practicing professional artist
· be a Nevada resident for 12 months prior to application date
· have U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
· be at least 21 years old, and not be currently enrolled as a degree-seeking student

Better Education Through The Arts Grants [BETA]
Postmark Deadlines: November 16 – for projects Jan 1-March 31, 2010

Quarterly grants up to $750 to teaching artists and educators. BETA grants support small arts education projects designed and presented by organizations and individuals. May include, but are not limited to: art exhibitions, performances, reading and concerts; sponsoring of arts education workshops and conferences.

Eligible applicants: Teaching artists is a professional or traditional artist with training and experience in an art form and with knowledge of educational practice.

"Jackpots Grants are awarded on a quarterly schedule to eligible individuals and organizations to support new or exemplary arts projects. Jackpots are also designed to support activities that help artists further their careers. Artists must have attained a certain level of proficiency as represented in the quality of work samples submitted with the applications.

Examples of eligible Jackpot projects for organizations include:
• Arts exhibitions, performances, readings and concerts
• Sponsoring of arts related workshops and conferences
• Marketing and promotional activities"

Better Education Through the Arts Grants

"The Better Education Through the Arts (BETA) Grant are quarterly grants for teaching artists, educators, schools, public institutions, non-arts nonprofit organizations, and arts organizations not receiving a Development or Partners in Excellence (PIE) Grant from the Grants Program. BETA grants are awarded on a quarterly basis and support small arts education projects designed and presented by organizations and individuals."
