The Trans-Alaska Pipeline:: A Center for Land Use Interpretation Project

"The Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI) is a non-profit research organization involved in exploring, examining and understanding land and landscape issues. In August 2008, CLUI dispatched a team of artists and scholars along the 800-mile pipeline that transports oil southwards from Prudhoe Bay, to the terminal at Valdez. This photographic journey along examines how its unique construction draws a line across what would otherwise be considered wilderness. The Trans-Atlantic Pipeline compromises and defines what is labeled nature and culture."
