John Coltrane | September 23, 1926

The CCAI Blog'is delighted to celebrate the eighty-third anniversary of the birth of John Coltrane, one of the twentieth century's greatest composers|musicians|artists.

In this 1963 performance of "Afro Blue," the seminal quartet: John Coltrane [saxophone], McCoy Tyner [piano], Jimmy Garrison [bass] and Elvin Jones [drums].
